missing baby bunky

Filed under: Uncategorized — by oblion @ 4:02 am

Baby bunky is at grandma and grandpa’s for the week so  I can go to NYC for diss research and the partner is on call. I drove her down yesterday and came back to Mpls today to do work.

Sometimes, you miss your “pre-baby” life, but then you realize, that going out, etc. just isn’t the same anymore post-baby. I still have a good time, but I miss baby bunky so much.  I was able to work for five hours straight on a weekend today, but no baby to cuddle with tonight.

idealistic visions: moving to the country

Filed under: Uncategorized — by oblion @ 1:50 pm

Years ago I would have never thought that I would want to live in the country, but now I do. I don’t know how “rural” I would like to be, as it would still be nice to have ammentities near by.

I’m sick of the traffic. I’m sick of the crime issues.  I want peace, silence, and room for animals (partner would love a llama and I would like to have more dogs).

Yet, I’m reminded of the Smog album where one song he talks about leaving the city and moving to the country and the last song he talks about moving back to the city because the country was not for him.

There’s no way we’ll be doing this while I’m still in grad school, but one can dream.
